Unbridled’s Song has best average price at F-T Midlantic sale

Unbridled’s Song’s sales average of $276,667 at the May 20-21 Fasig-Tipton Midlantic 2-year-olds in training sale in Timonium, Md. led all sires with more than one lot sold.

Topping the list for the Taylor Made Stallion was hip No. 128, who sold for $330,000, the third highest-price of the two-day sale and the sales topper for the first day. Trainer Nick Zito signed the ticket for the Kentucky bred on behalf of owner Joseph H. Moss.

During day 2, hip No. 394, consigned by Eisaman Equine, agent, went for $280,000 to trainer Gary Contessa, agent. The dark bay or brown colt, named Undone, is out of the Indian Charlie mare Pampered Princess, winner of the Grade 1 Spinster S. at Keeneland.

The final Unbridled’s Song offering was hip No. 221, a colt consigned by Pike Racing, agent, and purchased by $220,000 by Sagamore Farm, Bob Feld agent. The Kentucky bred colt is out of the Grade 3-placed mare Daisyago.
