First-year sire Eskendereya had a pair of juveniles bring six figures at the Oct. 21-23 Fasig-Tipton Kentucky fall yearling sale, including a $245,000 filly that was the top price paid for a first-year sire offspring.
Denali Stud consigned hip No. 713, the filly which went to Justin Casse, agent as the winning bidder. The Florida-bred bay filly the top producer Frosty Promise, whose offspring include Grade 2 Arcadia H. winner Icy Atlantic and Grade 3 My Charmer H. Wild Promises.
Hip No. 1111, consigned by Taylor Made Sales Agency, went for $100,000 to Ricky Leppala. The chestnut colt is the first foal out of the Unbridled’s Song mare Pratesi, a daughter of multiple graded stakes winner Saudi Poetry, from the classic family of Arts and Letters and Silverbulletday.
