Time to Dazzle leads all the way in G3 Ontario Colleen

Three-year-old filly Time to Dazzle did just as her name suggests in the Ontario Colleen S. (G3) at
Woodbine on Saturday, July 27. The daughter of Not This Time dazzled in the one-mile turf fixture,
registering a dominating 4 ½-length victory.
The front-running score, orchestrated by jockey Sahin Civaci, was accomplished in the final time of
1:33.57 over a course listed as good. Away alertly, Time to Dazzle set the tempo throughout—leading by
as many 5 ½ lengths. She blitzed six furlongs in 1:09.81 and kept rolling. She spurted away from her 11
foes turning for him and held all challengers at bay through the lane to win as much the best.
“I wasn’t expecting her to be on the lead,” shared Civaci. “But she popped up really good, and she was
comfortable up there. The fractions were decent. They weren’t slow by any means, but she was going
easy, and she held on. She’s a quality horse and she ran impressively today.”
Owned by Tracy Farmer and trained by Mark Casse, Time to Dazzle was bred in Kentucky by Dr. Rodney
Orr. The gray or roan filly, who was a $310,000 purchase out of the 2022 Keeneland September Year
Sale, is produced from the Unbridled’s Song mare Staria.
Time to Dazzle broke her maiden at Woodbine last September in her career debut at two. She is now a
winner in three of six lifetime starts with earnings of $135,577. Time to Dazzle is the fifth North
American graded stakes winner this year for Not This Time. The multiple champion sire is also
represented this season by Grade 1 winner Cogburn, who set a North American record of :59.30 for 5 ½
furlongs on the turf when he won the Jaipur S. (G1) at Saratoga in June in his most recent start.
