Regally-bred Unbridled’s Song firster looks good at Gulfstream

Three-year-old Unbridled Minister split foes in the final furlong to break his maiden at first asking at Gulfstream Park on Jan. 7. The son of Unbridled’s Song took the one mile contest by three-quarters of a length on a fast track in 1:37.75.

The bay son of Unbridled’s Song is out of the stakes-winning mare Arabis, who is a half-sister to Grade 1 winner Aldiza and a full sister to multiple graded winner Atelier.

Owned by Magic City Thoroughbred Partners, Unbridled Minister was bred in Kentucky by Aaron and Marie Jones. The colt was purchased for $150,000 at the 2011 Keeneland April 2-year-old sale.

Unbridled’s Song finished 2011 with progeny earnings of $5,564,033. His 16 stakes horses were led by Mission Impazible, winner of the Grade 2 New Orleans H. and $528,649 during the 2011 campaign.
