Oppenheim yet again cites Forestry for value

Bill Oppenheim has once again tabbed Forestry as a “Good Value Stallion.”

Taylor Made’s son of Storm Cat was ranked among just 22 Kentucky sires cited by Oppenheim in the February 2nd Thoroughbred Daily News for their ability to sire “money-making racehorses.”

Oppenheim noted, “Forestry was on fire in 2006…he’s coming back to life now that the bigger crops out of the better mares are getting to the races.”

Forestry’s highest APEX ratings were for his 2-year-olds and 3-year-olds, and in fact, just two Kentucky stallions among Oppenheim’s selections posted a higher 2-year-old ABC Index than Forestry’s 3.01. His 3-year-old APEX Rating was 2.18, and his overall A-Runner Index was 2.03.

With 66 stakes horses and earners in excess of $28.8 million, Forestry will stand the 2011 season for $12,500.
