Led by a $220,000 colt and $160,000 filly, first-year sire Eskendereya had a total of eight youngsters sell during the OBS Spring Sale of Two-year-olds in Training that ran April 21-24.
The $220,000 colt, hip No. 866 consigned by Stephens Thoroughbreds LLC, went to Bo Bromagen as agent for Ashbrook Farm Ltd. Bred in Kentucky, the bay colt is out of the Tiznow mare Where is the Bling, a sister to four stakes winners, including the multiple graded stakes winner Too Much Bling.
Hip No. 1001 was consigned by Robert Brewer and brought the winning bid of $160,000 from Southcoast Bloodstock, agent for Michael R. Ellis. The chestnut filly hails from the same family as Grade 1 Spinster S. winner Carriage Trail.
