Weanlings from the first crop of Not This Time offered at the Fasig-Tipton and Keeneland November sales have averaged nearly $100,000, nearly seven times their bred-on stud fee.
Not This Time bred an average of 137 mares his first two seasons at stud and will stand for $15,000 next year at Taylor Made.
Seven of the stallion’s weanlings have brought six figures to date, led by a $160,000 colt at Keeneland. Consigned by Threave Main Stud LLC, hip No. 1305 was purchased by BBN Stable. The colt’s dam Movie Star Magic is a half-sister to multiple graded stakes winner and sire Tapiture.
Also at Keeneland was hip No. 762, a colt consigned by Four Star Sales and purchased by De Meric Sales, agent for $140,000. The colt is out of Elusive Wave, who is a full sister to two-time Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint (G1) winner Mizdirection.
Highlighting the Fasig-Tipton sale was hip No. 10, consigned by Taylor Made and also bought by BBN. The colt, out of the graded stakes winner Pica Slew, sold for $125,000.
