Screen Star became Not This Time’s fifth winner from his first crop on Aug. 10 with a half-length victory in a five-furlong maiden special weight race for 2-year-olds at Presque Isle Downs.
Not This Time’s five winners ties him for the top spot on the Freshman Sire list. The first of those winners, Hopeful Princess, has gone on to place in the Schuylerville S. (G3) at Saratoga.
Screen Star is owned by WinStar Farm and Blazing Meadows Farm and sold originally for $160,000 at the 2018 Keeneland November sale.
The dark bay colt was bred in Kentucky by Tim Thornton. His dam Movie Star Magic is a half-sister to multiple graded winner and sire Tapiture and Super Derby (G3) winner Rotation.
