The June 9-12 OBS 2-year-olds in Training sale ended on a high note for Not This Time when a colt by the brilliant First-Crop sire brought a top bid of $575,000 on Friday morning.
With 18 lots sold over the three days, Not This Time’s average was a stellar $221,889 and included the $1.35 million sales-topping filly on Thursday and a $700,000 session-topping colt on Wednesday.
Friday’s colt, hip No. 953, was consigned by Julie Davis LLC, agent, and went to Marc Tacher. The colt had worked a furlong in 10 seconds flat during last week’s Under Tack show.
The bay Kentucky-bred is out of the Tapit mare Delightful Melody, who is a daughter of multiple Grade 2 winner Bending Strings.
Not This Time is the leading First-Crop sire with a pair of maiden special weight winners at Churchill Downs and Gulfstream Park.
