The Japanese-bred filly Kitty won her second stakes of 2010 when the daughter of Northern Afleet scored in her home country on Oct. 2. The bay 4-year-old won a 1 1/16 mile main track event at Sapporo Race Track in northern Japan. She won her first added money event this past January.
Kitty is out of the Forestry mare Forest Kitty. Kitty was bought in utero at the 2005 Keeneland November breeding stock sale. She is the first foal out of her dam and was bred by Kiyoshige Yamashita.
Kitty has a career record of 4-4-0 in 11 starts, earning $773,929.
Northern Afleet has had another solid year for Taylor Made. The 17-year-old stallion is once again in the top 15 on the North American general sire list. His seven stakes winners on American soil are led by the multiple Grade 1 winning 3-year-old filly Evening Jewel (Ashland, Del Mar Oaks).
