Northern Afleet had the top-selling filly at the May 20-21 Fasig-Tipton Midlantic 2-year-olds in training sale in Timonium, Md., with the Grassroots Training and Sales LLC, agent offering bringing a winning bid of $315,000.
The lone offering by Northern Afleet of the sale, the ticket was signed for by David Ingordo on behalf of JWS Racing. The the dark bay or brown filly, bred in Kentucky, is out of the Unbridled’s Song mare Pacific Ocean Song. She is the dam of two multiple winners and a half-sister to Lethal Instrument, winner of Santa Anita’s Ack Ack S.
“She looks fast,” said Ingordo, who indicated the filly will ship to trainer John Sadler in Southern California. “She has size and scope.”
