A colt from the first crop of Grade 1 winner Midnight Storm posted a bullet furlong work of :09 4/5 (VIDEO) on Tuesday ahead of next week’s OBS Spring Sale of 2-year-olds, to held April 20-23.

Consigned by Parrish Farms, agent, hip No. 264, the dark bay is out of the Sky Mesa mare Summer of Joy, who is a full sister to Grade 2-placed and multiple stakes winner Spectacular Sky. The colt will sell during Tuesday’s opening session.

At the OBS March 2-year-old sale, Midnight Storm was one of the top-three First-Crop sires at the auction with an average sale price of $190,000, led by a filly that sold for $240,000 to D. J. Stable and consigned by Robert Brewer.

Midnight Storm has a total of 18 2-year-olds cataloged in next week’s four-day sale, which starts each session 10 a.m. ET.
