Love in Her Eyes showed tremendous heart in her maiden-breaking win Monday at Parx, battling back after losing the lead in the stretch to defeat Bravo Regina by a neck in the 1 mile and 70 yard contest.
The 2-year-old filly is the 25th winner for Not This Time, which is eight more than any other First-Crop sire. Not This Time’s 50% of winners from starters is also far above his next closest pursuer in the Top 10, at 37.5%.
Love in Her Eyes battled for the lead with Easy On the Sugar through six furlongs before taking over the top spot. The chestnut filly was soon overtaken by Bravo Regina, but dug in and regained the lead in the final sixteenth to claim the victory (VIDEO),
The winner is owned by Eric Del Toro and Troy Johnson and was bred in Kentucky by China Horse Club International. She is the first foal out of Miss Ide, who is a half-sister to two-time stakes winner Renda.
