When Last Leaf won the $100,000 Audubon Oaks on Sunday at Ellis Park, she became the third stakes winner of the weekend for top-ranked Third-Crop sire Not This Time.

Among Not This Time’s 2022 stakes winners are Madison S. (G1) winner Just One Time, Jim Dandy S. (G2) winner Epicenter, and Fountain of Youth (G2) winner Simplification.

Last Leaf, who had already won three stakes this year prior to Sunday, turned in another stellar effort to come away with a two-length win in the seven-furlong race for 3-year-old fillies. She was pinched back to last at the break, but quickly recovered to get within five lengths of the lead after a quarter-mile.

Last Leaf gained substantial ground while very wide on the turn, and took over the lead at the top of the stretch. She continued to pull away in the lane and wrapped up the seven furlongs in 1:24.69 for her third straight win.

Last Leaf upped her record to an excellent 7-1-2 in 15 starts for Monarch Stables, Inc. Her earnings now stand at $332,647.

Last Leaf was bred in Kentucky by Khalid Mishref Alkahtani and is the lone reported foal out of stakes-placed My Miss Kallie.
