Forestry’s Homerun Berti made it four straight wins, including three in stakes, on Saturday at Sunland Park with a sharp 2 1/4-length score in the $50,000 Budweiser H. (VIDEO).

Homerun Berti is one of a pair of stakes winners early this year for Forestry, who stands at Taylor Made in 2014 for $8,000 LFS&N.

After capturing an allowance race and the $55,000 Lea County S. at Zia Park late last year, Homerun Berti made the smooth transition to Sunland in December, scoring in the $50,000 KLAQ Handicap before Saturday’s victory.

After leading throughout, Homerun Berti stopped the timer in :56.45 for the five furlongs, less than a second off the track record. The 8-year-old veteran has amassed $379,970 for owner SEJ Stable (who took ownership one start prior to the current winning streak) while winning a remarkable 14 of his 30 lifetime starts.
