A colt by Half Ours brought the top price of $100,000 at the Aug. 7-8 Fasig-Tipton New York bred preferred yearling sale. The gray/roan yearling, Hip No. 341, is from the first crop of his sire.

In 2004, Chace purchased Half Ours at Keeneland’s September Sale. The son of Unbridled’s Song was campaigned for Aaron and Marie Jones in partnership with Barry K. Schwartz, and trained by Todd Pletcher. After winning both his races at two in scintillating style, he was sold for a record $6.1 million as a horse in training at Keeneland November. He went on to win his first five starts, including the Grade 2 Richter Scale H.
Earlier in the week at the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga select sale, Half Ours first auction offering went through the ring on Aug. 2. Hip No. 30, a gray or roan filly out of the multiple graded winner Classy Mirage, brought $150,000 from buyer MSTS. Classy Mirage is the dam of Dublin, winner of the Three Chimneys Hopeful (G1) at Saratoga.
