Graydar is now a top-five Freshman sire of winners after Rock On Sandy broke her maiden on Nov. 2 at Churchill Downs.
Rock On Sandy captured the 6 1/2-furlong contest on the main track by a length to become the 12th winner her sire. The chestnut 2-year-old is a Rock Ridge Racing homebred and is the first foal out of the stakes-placed Little Sandy.
Graydar’s 2-year-olds have brought up to $290,000 at auction this year. In his first four books, he has averaged 110 mares bred, and will stand the 2018 season for $7,500 live foal.
