Taylor Made Stallions’ Graydar, the imposing Grade 1-winning son of Unbridled’s Song, sired his first foal early Tuesday, Jan. 13 when a colt was born at Taylor Made Farm in Nicholasville, KY.
Bred and owned by Bloodstock Investments II, the gray colt is out of the young, three-time stakes-winning Master Command mare, Soonerette.
“This is a really nice first foal, it reminds me of many of the good Unbridled’s Song foals we’ve been blessed to see born around here,” said Taylor Made’s Frank Taylor. “Graydar got a great first book of mares, and if he continues to throw this kind of foal then breeders have a great shot of making money.”
Campaigned by Twin Creeks Racing Stables, Graydar was undefeated in graded stakes races during his career, which included victories in such big races as the Donn H. (G1), New Orleans H. (G2), and Kelso S. (G2). He retired with a near-flawless record, having only seen defeat once, and triple-digit Beyer Speed Figures in all but one lifetime start, including a 109 Beyer from his dominant win in the Grade 1 Donn. Graydar earned $841,560.
Out of the Dehere mare Sweetest Smile, Graydar bred 130 mares in his debut book at stud in 2014. He stands as a Twin Creeks Racing / Town and Country Farm / Taylor Made Stallions Venture, and his 2015 fee is $15,000 S&N.
