Two-year-old Forest Lake garnered the first stakes win of her career on Saturday evening with a two-length score in the $100,000 Evangeline Downs Starlet S. The Set-Hut LLC homebred capped off an excellent month of August for Forestry, who has had five stakes winners in the past 30 days.

Forest Lake got the job done in the six furlong Starlet from just off the pace, making a three-wide run on the turn to take over the lead at the top of the lane. She completed the distance over a sloppy track in 1:12.54 (VIDEO).

Set-Hut co-owns Forest Lake with trainer Jerry Delhomme. With the win, she is now 5-2-1-0 and has earned $69,020.
