Hi Fashioned survived a very eventful trip on Sunday at Fairplex Park to take the $100,000 Barretts Juvenile, giving his sire Old Fashioned his first stakes winner from his first crop.

Hi Fashioned had an extremely eventful trip in the 6 1/2-furlong Juvenile. After getting bumped around at the start, he made his way to the front to dictate the first half-mile in :47.36. I Earned It Baby mounted a challenge coming into the stretch, bumping Hi Fashioned soundly, but the eventual winner recovered to go on the a 1 1/4-length victory.
Owned by Rozamund Barclay, Hi Fashioned is 1-2-0 in three starts, earning $85,000. He is a graduate of the 2013 Barretts January Mixed Sale, where Barclay purchased the gray or roan colt for $70,000.
