Half Ours got his first winner as a sire when his daughter Zingwella won her career debut April 21 at Gulfstream Park. The bay filly had the lead the entire way in the 2 1/2-furlong dash, covering the distance in :27.34 seconds.
Zingwella is owned in partnership by Wesley Ward, also her trainer, and Ice Wine Stable. She was bred in Kentucky by James Glover and is the third winner in as many foals out of the stakes winning mare Ms Well.
Half Ours set a stakes record in winning the Three Chimneys Juvenile S. at Churchill Downs at two and won the Grade 2 Richter Scale Sprint Championship H. the following year. A Taylor Made associate stallion, he stands for $4,500 at Clear Creek Stud near Folsom, La.
