Old Fashioned’s two-time Grade 1-winning filly Fashion Plate was the first horse to top the seven-figure mark at the Fasig-Tipton November sale on Monday evening, bringing a winning bid of $1.2 million from Katsumi Yoshida.
The 3-year-old filly, consigned by St. George Sales, agent as a racing or broodmare prospect, won both the Santa Anita Oaks (G1) and Las Virgenes S. (G1) this year. She has earned $471,250 to date.
With $2.35 million in progeny earnings in 2014, Old Fashioned is in the second spot on the North American Second-crop sire list.
