Eskendereya yearlings hammer for big numbers at Keeneland

Led by a $370,000 colt, all three offerings from the first crop of Eskendereya brought six figures during the prestigious first day of the 2013 Keeneland September yearling sale, for an average of $236,667.

Clarkland Farm consigned hip No. 125, a colt who went to Steve Young,agent for $370,000. The colt is  a half-brother to a pair of stakes winners.

Hip No. 69, consigned by Brookdale Sales, went for $240,000 to trainer Todd Pletcher. The filly comes from the same family as leading sire and Grade 1 winner Street Cry (IRE).

Bridlewood Farm bought hip No. 105 for $100,000 from the consignment of Hinkle Farms. The Kentucky-bred filly is a half-sister to Canadian stakes winner Stylish Citizen.
