Eskendereya tops U.S. 3YOs on World Thoroughbred Rankings

World Thoroughbred Rankings has rated Eskendereya co-topweight among all 3-year-olds on the dirt for 2010.

In releasing their ratings for the past season, WTR pegged Eskendereya at 124 lbs., equal to Lookin At Lucky, and higher than every other 3-year-old who raced in the United States last year.

The Eclipse Award finalist, who enters stud at Taylor Made Stallions this year, swept through his sophomore season undefeated, including a 9 ¾-length victory in the Wood Memorial S. (G1) and an 8 ½-length romp in the Fountain of Youth S. (G2), widest winning margin for that race since Spectacular Bid in 1979. Eskendereya’s top Beyer Speed Figure of 109 was the highest for any 3-year-old beyond a mile in 2010.

By Champion Sire Giant’s Causeway out of a multiple G1 producer by Seattle Slew, Eskendereya will stand his inaugural season for $30,000 live foal, stands and nurses, property of Jess Jackson’s Stonestreet Thoroughbred Holdings.
