Taylor Made first-crop sire Eskendereya leads all freshman sires through the first two days at the Keeneland September Yearling sale with a $244,167 average for sires with three or more sold.
Day two was highlighted by hip No. 347, a colt consigned by Lane’s End, agent and purchased for $540,000 by Stonestreet Stables.
The Kentucky-bred colt is out of the Canadian stakes winner Quiet Action.
Eskendereya’s numbers through the two days include gross receipts of $1,465,000. All six of his yearlings have brought at least $100,000.
