Dana’s Beauty, a 6-year-old daughter of Not This Time, captured her fourth stakes win of the year on Dec. 14 at Turfway Park in the $250,000 My Charmer S.
The My Charmer marked Dana’s Beauty’s first start on the synthetic surface since she took the $250,000 Latonia S. over the same oval in late March. Going right to the front in the 1 1/16-mile contest, Dana’s Beauty set a measured half-mile of :49.09 and six furlong in 1:12.91. When asked for her run at the top of the stretch, she drew away willingly to win by 4 ½-lengths.
“She’s a very nice filly and it was a pretty straightforward race,” winning rider Luis Saez said. “I let her break and she took me to the front. She really came home well.”
The My Charmer Stakes was Dana’s Beauty’s 11th career victory from 43 starts, boosting her record to 11-6-8, with purse earnings of $813,033.
Dana’s Beauty is currently owned by John Stewart’s Resolute Racing, who purchased her out of the 2024 Keeneland April Horses of Racing Age sale. Since then, she won a pair of stakes on the grass.
The winner was bred in Kentucky by John Liviakis.
Not This Time has accounted for 16 stakes winners, nine of them graded winners, in 2024. Among the leading sires in North America, Not This Time will stand for $175,000 S&N in 2025.
