Bridle Up became the latest repeat stakes winner for her sire Unbridled’s Song with with a victory in the Sasebo H. on Aug. 22. The 4-year-old filly is the fifth multiple stakes victor of 2010 for her sire, who currently ranks eighth on the U.S. General sire list with $4.4 million in progeny earnings, which does not include his Japanese offsprings’ winnings.
Bridle Up ran her record to 5-4-0 in 13 starts after the win in the 1,200 meter Sasebo in 1:07.30, contested on the firm turf at Kokura racecourse. Bridle Up now has four stakes wins to her credit and has earned $897,805 owner Mamoru Kato.
Out of Wanda’s Dream, Bridle Up is a half-sister to the stakes-placed Womble. Bridle Up was sold for $200,000 at the 2008 Fasig-Tipton February 2-year-olds in training sale. She was bred in Kentucky by Dr. Masatake Iida.
