Northern Afleet’s latest Grade 1 winner is the 2-year-old colt Que Fenomeno (BRZ), who won the 1,600 meter (about one mile) Grande Premio J Adhemar de Almeida on June 26.
The winner, out of the unraced Gone West mare Princesa Do Oeste, won by one length. The bay colt is now 1-1-0 in two starts. He was bred by Haras Old Friends Ltd. And is owned by Stud Farda Amiga.
Northern Afleet is America’s second-leading sire by stakes wins and third in terms of stakes winners in 2011. His leading earner of the year is two-time graded stakes winner Teaks North, who took the Gulfstream Park Turf H. (G1) and Monmouth S. (G3).
