First-Crop Sire Graydar’s $290,000 colt sold during Wednesday’s session of the April 25-28 OBS Spring Sale of 2-year-olds in Training represented the top figure paid for an offspring of the Taylor Made stallion during the current juvenile sales season.
Consigned by Paul Sharp, agent hip No. 427 was purchased by Brian Koriner on behalf of Jay Em Ess Stable, one of the nation’s leading owners.
The bay colt is out of the Pulpit mare Fiery Pulpit, also the dam of the stakes-placed filly Dypsy. Fiery Pulpit is a sister to six stakes horses, including Grade 3 winner and track record-setter Clamorosa.
Graydar’s first foals are just now hitting the racetrack; he has 99 named 2-year-olds for 2017.
