Poppy’s Shadow skipped to a 3 3/4-length maiden special weight score on Thursday to become the tenth winner for top-10 First-Crop Sire Astrology. Taylor Made farm recently announced Astrology’s 2017 stud fee at $6,500 live foal, stands and nurses.

Poppy’s Shadow is owned by her trainer Joe Raposa and was bred in Kentucky by McKee Stables Inc. The Kentucky-bred is a half-sister to a pair of stakes horses and six winners. Her dam Gone Bye Bye is a half to Schossberg, winner of the Jerome H. (G1) and Iselin H. (G1).
