The progeny of Officer are not only popular in the United States, but also across the Atlantic, as witnessed at the recently completed Doncaster Sales’ Breeze Up in Great Britain. A 2-year-old bay colt by the Taylor Made stallion brought the second-highest price of the sale, going for $192,000.
Consigned by Mocklershill, Ireland, the yet unnamed colt was purchased by Dwayne Woods on behalf of Andrew Tinkler. The juvenile is out of the stakes-placed mare Dun Roamin Lady and is a half-brother to two black-type performers and comes from the extended family of Step Nicely, winner of four Grade 2 events in this country.
