Muhaawara tallied her first stakes win in the $60,000 Sky Beauty S. Dec. 16 at Aqueduct, giving Unbridled’s Song his 88th career stakes winner. The Taylor Made stallion has 20 stakes horses in 2010 alone, topped by Breeders’ Cup Ladies Classic (G1) winner Unrivaled Belle.

In the one-mile, seventy yard Sky Beauty, Muhaawara came from last after a half-mile, going three wid e in the turn, and with a determined drive in the stretch, ultimately got up to win by three-quarters of a length. The final time was 1:43.43 over the fast inner dirt track.

Muhaawara is campaigned by her breeder Shadwell Stable. She earned $36,000 for the victory. Her overall record now stands at 3-3-2 in 12 starts, with $131,297 to her credit. She is a half-sister to Eldaafer, winner of the Brooklyn H. (G2), Breeders’ Cup Marathon (G3), and Turfway Park Fall Championship (G3). The pair is out of Habibti, a top-class filly at two, when she won the Del Mar Debutante (G1) and Hollywood Starlet (G1).
