Multi-millionaire La Verita struck yet another high note, winning her sixth career stakes on February 2nd.
 
Making her 2011 debut in the TCK Jo-Oh Hai at Tokyo Racecourse, La Verita carried top weight of 125 lbs., and battled to a hard-fought neck triumph in the nine-furlong event. La Verita has been a multiple stakes winner for the past two years, with victories in the Kanto Oaks, Sparkling Lady Cup, Nagoya Daishoten, and Brilliant Stakes.
 
The gray/roan 5-year-old by Unbridled’s Song out of Go Classic, by Gone West, has won nine times in 23 starts, for earnings of $2,635,230. She was bred in Kentucky by Dell Ridge Farm, and sold at the 2007 Keeneland September Sale for $320,000.
 
Unbridled’s Song has now sired 88 stakes winners and earners in excess of $71-million. In 2011, he already has 11 winners, and earners of more than $700,000. Unbridled’s Song is standing the 2011 season for $100,000 payable when foal stands and nurses.
