Veteran Japanese campaigner A Shin F Danz notched his third stakes of 2012 on April 12 at Nagoya Racecourse. The 8-year-old son of Forestry, a seven furlong specialist, captured his first added money event of the year on Jan. 13, followed by another on Feb. 12.
Bred in Kentucky by Winchester Farm, A Shin F Danz has won or placed in 12 stakes since 2007 and earned over $1.22 million. He is one of three millionaires by Forestry, along with Discreet Cat and 2011 Preakness (G1) winner Shackleford. The latter is expected to make his next start in one of two Grade 2 stakes at Churchill Downs on Kentucky Derby weekend.
A Shin F Danz is a half-brother to $2 million earner and Grade 3 winner A Shin G Line. Their dam, Lady Danz, is out of a half-sister to Chief’s Crown, champion 2-year-old of 1984.
