The sales topper at Monday’s Keeneland April 2-year-olds sale was a $700,000 filly by Unbridled’s Song who is a half-sister to Eden’s Moon, winner of the 2012 Las Virgenes S. (G1) and San Clemente H. (G2).

Unbridled’s Song had two of the top 10 sellers at the April 8 auction, and had a total of three juveniles sell for an average of $410,000

Irish bloodstock agent John McCormack secured the bay filly for an undisclosed client from the Ciaran Dunne’s Wavertree Stables Inc. consignment. Cataloged as hip No. 51, the filly is out of Eden’s Causeway. Eden’s Moon recently was sold for $1.525 million at the Fasig-Tipton Kentucky November Breeding Stock sale.

“She was a wonderful filly; from day one we knew she’d be a special offering,” Dunne said. “She’s out of a grade I (producing) filly by a super stallion. You just don’t see them in this marketplace. Then when she backed it up on the racetrack it was likely she was going to make a name for herself in the ring.”

McCormack was referring to the filly’s :10 second flat breeze time at the Keeneland preview show on April 4.

Eden’s Causeway is a half-sister to grass champion Paradise Creek as well as Manhattan H. (G1) winner Forbidden Apple and Early Times Turf Classic (G1) champ Wild Event.

Unbridled’s Song other top 10 seller was hip No. 112, a filly consigned by The Kindergarten Farm that brought a winning bid of $350,000 from Lane Siegler’s Baumann Stables. A gray or roan filly like her sire, the Kentucky-bred is out of the Grade 3 winner Queen of Money, who has produced the stakes winners Quiet Cash and Pocketfullofpesos.
