Eskendereya colt cruises in ultra-impressive allowance victory

Heavily-favored Easy to Say shot to the lead by the opening quarter and extended his lead throughout the stretch run, cruising home by 6 1/4 lengths in the feature allowance (VIDEO) at Monmouth on May 10th.

The handsome chestnut son of Eskendereya sped fractions of :21.89, :45.19. :57.98 en route to a final clocking of 1:10.82, the third fastest six furlongs of the Monmouth spring meet. Track announcer Frank Mirahmadi noted that Easy to Say was “not asked for anything” and was “just playing” with his 10 competitors.

A homebred for New Farm and trained by Ben Perkins Jr., Easy to Say is out of Graded stakes winner/Grade 1 placed Wild Snitch, and is a half-brother to stakes winners Hardened Wildcat and Vengeful Wildcat. He has amassed a record of two wins and two fourths from four starts, all this season. In his last start on April 4th, Easy to Say was on the board in the $300,000 Bay Shore S. (G3).

Eskendereya has already sired 23 winners this year, second among all sophomore sires. By Giant’s Causeway out of Aldebaran Light, by Seattle Slew , he is standing at Taylor Made for $17,500 live foal.
