Taylor Made Sales consigned one filly by Graydar during the second day of the Aug. 8-9 Fasig Tipton Saratoga Yearling Sale, hip No. 245, which sold to Carolyn Karlson for $250,000.
The figure is a new high-water mark for a yearling from the first crop of the Taylor Made stallion, besting a $200,000 colt sold at the Fasig-Tipton Kentucky July Sale.
The gray or roan filly is out of Courante, a full sister to Grade 3 winner and sire Elusive Warning. The filly’s family also includes 2-year-old Champion Gilded Time and Belmont S. (G1) winner High Echelon.
Graydar, dominating winner of the Donn H. (G1), was a top-five weanling freshman sire of 2015 and stood the past season at Taylor Made for $15,000 live foal.
