Kissa Diamond accelerated strongly through the stretch in her maiden special weight victory Aug. 23 at Finger Lakes, drawing off to win by 7 ½-lengths in the 5 ½-furlong contest for 2-year-old fillies.

The daughter of Astrology is the 33rd winner from his second crop this year, ranking him in the top 10 among sophomore sires. 

The winner is owned by Michael Ferraro and was bred by Carmalley Valley Farm LLC. The filly’s dam Diamond Dina was a 10-time winner and twice stakes-placed.
