A colt from the first crop of Midnight Storm brought a top bid of $200,000 during the closing session of the Fasig-Tipton Selected Yearlings Showcase held Sept. 9-10 in Lexington.

Consigned by Taylor Made Sales Agency, the dark bay was cataloged as hip No. 534 and went to Maverick Racing LP.

Already named Fearsome Storm, the colt is the third foal out of Chickasaw Gal, who has two winners from two starters. Through his third dam Juliac, Fearsome Storm is related to multiple graded winner Cairo Prince and Grade 1-placed Nonna Mia.

Midnight Storm wrapped up the sale with six lots bringing more than nine times his stud fee. His next yearlings to be offered will be at the Keeneland September sale, where he has 25 lots cataloged.
