Omati’s 3 1/2-length maiden win Thursday at Delaware Park gave the nation’s leading First-Crop sire Not This Time his 13th overall winner and fourth in just the past seven days.
The current hot streak was topped by Princess Noor’s win in the Chandelier S. (G1) on Saturday, the first Grade 1 winner for her sire.
Omati, owned by SAB Stable Inc., was in a three-way battle for five furlongs before taking over the topĀ spot, then drew off in the lane to win the one-mile contest handily.
The dark bay was bred in Kentucky by Lance & Todd Frederick and Phoenix Farm LLC. Omati is out of the Aptitude mare Prevention and is a half-brother to Grade 2 winner Tiz Lately.
