With a pair of maiden special weight-winning colts on Oct. 26, Not This Time became the first sire on the 2020 Freshman Sire List to eclipse the $1 million mark in progeny earnings.

Not This Time’s 17 winners have accounted for 22 victories, both tops in their categories as well. The Taylor Made stallion has several Breeders’ Cup hopefuls, led by Princess Noor, winner of both the Del Mar Debutante S. (G1) and Chandelier S. (G1).

Sunday’s winners came at Churchill Downs and Woodbine, both going seven furlongs.

At Churchill, King’s Ovation stormed down the stretch to win by 1 3/4-lengths for co-owners West Point Thoroughbreds and Tom Hammond’s Peacock Stable.

King’s Ovation was a $200,000 purchase by West Point at the 2020 OBS Spring 2-year-old sale. The chestnut was bred in Kentucky by Roxanne Martin Stable Inc. He is the first foal out of stakes winner Karen’s Silk.

At Woodbine, Easy Time took his career debut by 2 3/4-lengths, coming from off the pace to run down Lenny K in the final furlong.

Easy Pace, who sold to his owner Breeze Easy LLC for $250,000 at the OBS June Sale this year, was bred in Kentucky by Woods Edge Farm. The dark bay is one of eight winners out of Running Creek, whose dam Palliser Bay annexed the Gallorette S. (G3).
