It’s Sizzling Time zipped to a front-running maiden win Saturday at Laurel Park to give leading First-Crop sire Not This Time his 19th individual winner of 2020.
The dark bay covered the 5 1/2-furlongs in 1:04.29 onĀ fast main track, winning by three lengths after breaking very fast and opening up a clear advantage in the first furlong.
The winner is owned by Mona Bowley and Valrie Smith, the latter also her trainer. It’s Sizzling Time was bred by Jame Terdik and is the second foal out of Coolenoughtosizzle, who is a sister to stakes winners Chicks Dig Scars and King Congie, the latter also placed in the Blue Grass S. (G1).
Not This Time is one of only four First-Crop sires with progeny earnings over $1 million, and is tied for the top spot on the list by black type winners and horses. He’ll stand the 2021 season at Taylor Made for $40,000 S&N.
