Not This Time leads 2020 First-Crop sire list in three categories

Taylor Made’s freshman sire Not This Time had a huge impact on the 2020 First-Crop Sire list, leading the way by winners, wins and black type winners.

His winners’ total of 28 was most impressive in light of the fact that no other freshman sire had more than 19 for the year. Those 28 juveniles would go on to account for 34 wins, which was 13 individuals ahead of his closest pursuer.

Not This Time was represented last year by three stakes winners, led by Princess Noor, who captured both the Del Mar Debutante S. (G1) and Chandelier S. (G2). The dark bay filly, who sold for a record $1.35 million at the OBS Spring 2-year-old sale, was bred by International Equities Holding, Inc.

Dirty Dangle won the Woodbine Cares S. on the turf in just her second lifetime start. The gray/roan filly was bred by Nancy Shuford. Vacay was a winner of the Key Cents S. at Aqueduct in November and was a perfect two-for-two last year. She was bred by J Stables LLC.

Keenly aware of the quality of his young runners, breeders responded in 2020 by booking Not This Time to 159 mares, his largest book in his first four years at stud. His 2021 fee is $40,000 stands and nurses.
