Weekend stakes double for Not This Time

Not This Time scored a pair of stakes winners over the final weekend of September, with Tee Off Time registering his first stakes win on Sept. 28 in the $110,000 Iowa Breeders’ Derby at Prairie Meadows, and the veteran Dana’s Beauty taking the $75,000 Ricks Memorial S. at Remington Park for her third career black-type win.

Not This Time now has more than $10.1 million in progeny earnings and 10 stakes winners this year, both tops among Fifth-Crop sires and in the top 15 on the General Sire list.

Tee Off Time, a 3-year-old Albaugh Family Stables homebred who was stakes-placed in 2023, unleashed a powerful stretch kick to win Saturday night’s 1 1/16-mile race by 4 ¼-lengths. Out of stakes winner Dawnie Macho, Tee Off Time is a full brother to stakes winner Time Goes On.

The following evening in Oklahoma Dana’s Beauty was a runaway winner of the 1 1/16-mile Ricks Memorial. The 6-year-old took command a little past the half-way mark and never looked back, winning by 6 ¼-lengths over the firm turf.

Bred by John Liviakis and owned by Resolute Racing, Dana’s Beauty is 10-5-8 in 41 starts and has earned $633,033.
