Plaza Beach and Mischief Princess both tallied maiden special weight wins on Sept. 24 to give top-10 First-Crop sire Instagrand a total of 10 winners, including the stakes winner No Rejoyce.

In a 5 ½-furlong sprint at Horseshoe Indianapolis, Plaza Beach scored by a measured three-quarters of a length over Oklahoma Logic. As the post time favorite, Plaza Beach sat behind dueling front-runners before making a three-wide bid for the lead turning for home. Under a hand ride down the lane, she willingly went by Oklahoma Logic to finish up in 1:04.53 over the “good” main track.

Plaza Beach is an OXO Equine LLC homebred out of stakes winners Kimberlea K, who has two stakes-winning siblings in Another Miranda and Stealthediamonds.

Later in the evening at Louisiana Downs, Mischief Princess rolled home a 9 ½-length winner going six furlongs. The dark bay filly took the lead for good midway on the turn despite being four-wide and then kicked clear in the lane to win as much the best.

Another homebred, Mischief Princess is campaigned by Coteau Grove Farms, LLC. She is one of three winners out of Gypsy Princess, whose dam Buffythecenterfold was a three-time graded stakes winner.
