A filly from the second crop of Taylor Made stallion Astrology was the top seller during the second day of the June 13-14 OBS June Sale of 2-year-olds in training, with a winning bid of $300,000 coming from Whisper Hill Farm, LLC.
“She grew up really nice and obviously she performed well on the racetrack (during the Under Tack show) and came through it all great,” said Whisper Hill Farm’s Mandy Pope, who also bred the filly.
The filly, hip No. 631, was consigned by Tom McCrocklin, agent. The bay juvenile had worked a bullet quarter-mile in :20 4/5 seconds during last week’s Under Tack Show.
The Kentucky-bred is out of the Giant’s Causeway mare Dreamingly, whose dam Yard Art is a half-sister to graded stakes winner Ascutney, dam of $3.6 million earner Raven’s Pass.
