Mshawish’s first offering during Monday’s session of the Aug. 5-6 Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Yearling Sale sold for $235,000, the best result to date for the Taylor Made stallion whose first crop are yearlings of 2019.
Consigned by Vinery Sales, agent, hip No. 34 was purchased by West Point Thorougbreds with L. E. B. as agent.
The dark bay juvenile is the first foal out of the stakes-placed Malibu Moon mare Jolene, whose dam Velvet Snow was a multiple stakes winner of $374,579.
Mshawish was a graded stakes winner over three campaigns and is the rare horse who won Grade 1’s on both the turf (Gulfstream Park Turf H.) and the main track (Donn H.). Mshawish has a total of 33 lots in the upcoming Keeneland September Yearling sale.
